Frill Necked Lizard
"Ah, Australian animals. If it isn't venomous, carnivorous, or has foot-long claws, it's a tourist."
The Frill Necked Lizard is our newest retile addition to the Native Animal Range. Endemic to northern Australia and parts of New Guinea, the frill necked lizard is an iconic Australian animal - having been portrayed on coins, Olympic mascots, adverts, films and cartoons. In fact, the Dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park was depicted with a frill neck when attacking, and this attributed to the increase in demand for frill necked lizards as pets.
