This year, the collaboration honours the legacy of Australian music icon and feminist trailblazer, Helen Reddy, with the release of a special edition "I Am Woman" t-shirt.
Artist and founder of High Tees, Jess McDonald, has crafted a compelling portrait of Helen Reddy, capturing the essence of her enduring influence in both the music industry and the feminist movement of the 70s. This limited-edition t-shirt and tote bag celebrates Helen Reddy’s remarkable music career and stands as a political statement, echoing the powerful lyrics of her anthem "I Am Woman.”
Helen Reddy’s "I Am Woman," released in 1972, become a symbol of empowerment for women worldwide. The lyrics, "I am strong, I am invincible, I am woman," encapsulate the spirit of resilience and strength that defined the Feminist movement. Reddy’s influence extended beyond music, as she became an icon of female empowerment and an advocate for women’s rights.
AusMusic T-Shirt Day, Support Act’s annual fundraiser, is a nationwide celebration of Australian music, where fans don their favourite artist’s t-shirt to show their support. This year’s event is expected to be the biggest yet, with proceeds going towards supporting musicians, crew, and music workers in need. The inclusion of the Helen Reddy "I Am Woman" t-shirt in the premium range underscores the importance of this collaboration and the ongoing fight for gender equality in the music industry.

The Helen Reddy "I Am Woman" t-shirt will be available for purchase exclusively through the AusMusic T-Shirt Day website from 1st October 2024 with all net proceeds donated to Support Act. High Tees has donated the exclusive license of the design to Support Act.
From 1st November 2024 the t shirt will also be available for purchase via High Tees(www.hightees.com.au) and its stockists. From each t shirt purchase via High Tees, they will be donating $5 to Support Act.
The t shirt is printed on 100% GOTS certified organic cotton t shirt, printed in Australia.
A tote bag will also be available via High Tees.
