Fred made a profound difference in eye health, helping one million people worldwide gain sight. His legacy includes founding the Aboriginal Medical Service in Sydney and supporting Indigenous medical care across Australia. Despite initial government neglect, he was later honored for his dedication. He spent years visiting remote communities, performing over 1,000 eye surgeries after examining thousands, bringing vital care where it was needed most.
