Without being charged with any offense in Australia, our friend Dan Duggan has been languishing in maximum-security isolation at Lithgow Correctional Facility for over a year at the behest of the US, at the expense of Australian taxpayers.
Despite being an Australian citizen with no history of violence or criminal record, Dan has been torn from his wife, Saffrine, and their six school-aged children. The family is struggling financially as the Australian and US governments have frozen the sale of their only asset, their family home, further crippling their ability to finance Dan's defense against these politically motivated charges.
You may have seen the ABC's 7:30 report. Dan is facing extradition to the US for allegedly training Chinese pilots at an accredited flying school in South Africa over a decade ago. Dan vehemently denies these allegations. Note that no other employees, contractors, or business owners have been charged.
Dan's lawyer, Bernard Collaery, has called the entire situation a hypocrisy and a show trial and is attempting to stop the extradition through Australian courts. Dan cannot obtain bail because there is no presumption of innocence in our country's extradition law.
This case is not only destroying a good man and tearing a young family apart leaving lasting deep psychological scars on young children. It also erodes Australia's sovereignty by denying the presumption of innocence.
All proceeds from the sale of these Tee's goes to supporting Dan and his family. Wear them, share them and help express our concern in allowing the US involvement in our legal system.
Designed by Dan's daughter, Ginger, this is a picture of love and hope.
Made from beautifully soft 180 GSM 100% cotton, the t-shirt is super comfy with a great modern cut.
Features Shoulder to Shoulder tape for excellent shape and double needle bottom hem & sleeves. The cotton is pre-shrunk to minimise shrinkage.
