The Frill Necked Lizard is endemic to northern Australia and parts of New Guinea. An iconic Australian animal - having been portrayed on coins, Olympic mascots, adverts, films and cartoons. In fact, the Dilophosaurus  in Jurassic Park was depicted with a frill neck when attacking, and this attributed to the increase in demand for frill necked lizards as pets.
