Ahh the PLATYPUS. The most fascinating of animals, a complete enigma. Part bird, part lizard, part fish yet furry and cuddly. It defies conventional classification. "A hoax" as described by Dr George Shaw in 1799. 

According to Aboriginal legend, the platypus was the baby of a female duck and water rat. 

Wherever the glorious place the beloved Platypus has come, it is very much a treasured Native Animal and we wouldn't change one weird and wonderful thing about it - except maybe provide it with lots of safe sanctuaries where it can survive and thrive.
